The Kyosho MZW438 FRP rear suspension plate set is aimed at hobbyists who want tighter control of their MR03RM and HM chassis. At 0.6mm thickness these plates trade a bit more rigidity for improved rear stability, and the pack contains three plates in soft, medium and hard to cover a range of on-track requirements.

Tuning for Grip and Stability

Each plate changes the rear flex characteristics so you can tune balance and traction. The softer plate adds more compliance for increased grip on rough or low-traction surfaces, while the harder plate reduces flex for steadier behaviour on smooth layouts. The medium plate is a compromise for mixed conditions and general practice sessions.

FRP Construction and Chassis Fit

Made from durable FRP, these plates withstand repeated use during club races and practice. They are manufactured to match the MR03RM and HM mounting points for a clean fit, making swaps from the thinner 0.5mm set straightforward when you need a different feel.

How will the 0.6mm plates change handling compared to 0.5mm?

The 0.6mm plates increase rear stiffness, which tends to improve high speed stability and reduce rear squirm, at the cost of a little less mechanical grip on very bumpy surfaces.

Can I use these on other MR03 variants?

These plates are designed specifically for MR03RM and HM geometries. They may fit other MR03 variants but check hole alignment and clearances before installing.

Which plate should I try first on a grippy track?

Start with the hard plate for smoother, high-grip tracks to reduce oversteer and sharpen turn-in; move to medium if the car feels too nervous.
