Intended applications

This steel main gear is an aftermarket replacement made for Kyosho motorcycle platforms that share the same gear form factor. The single main gear installs into the existing gearbox layout and works with standard RC drivetrain components found on scale motorcycle models.

Compared with common plastic gears, the steel SKM155 focuses on improved wear resistance to extend service intervals and preserve consistent gear mesh under typical hobbyist use. It is a practical choice where longer lasting drivetrain engagement is preferred.

Fitting is straightforward on compatible Kyosho motorcycle gearboxes: remove the gearbox cover, confirm tooth count and bore fit against the original gear, locate the gear correctly on the shaft, set mesh with the pinion, and reassemble while rotating the drivetrain by hand to check for binding. Inspect mating gears and bearings for wear during the fit check.
