Alloy middle gear for Kyosho motorcycle drivetrains

KM153 is an alloy middle gear supplied as 1 pcs and made for Kyosho motorcycle gearboxes. This aftermarket replacement lives between the motor pinion and the spur gear, transferring torque while reducing wear on mating teeth.

Installation notes: confirm correct gear mesh and axial alignment when fitting to the gearbox, retain the original shaft and fasteners, and verify clearance to nearby bearings and the spur gear. Use gentle rotation while adjusting mesh rather than forcing parts to avoid misalignment.

Tuning and maintenance guidance: apply a light, appropriate gear grease to contact surfaces, inspect bearing interfaces for play, and recheck motor timing and ESC mapping after fitment. Do not over-tighten mounting screws to prevent stress on the alloy gear or the gearbox housing.

It is intended for Kyosho motorcycle gearboxes; confirm tooth count and shaft spacing against your gearbox drawings before installation.
Start with minimal clearance, fit the original shaft and retaining hardware, then rotate the drivetrain while easing the mesh until smooth engagement is felt. Use a light coat of grease on gear faces.
Regularly check for looseness at bearing seats, freshen lubricant periodically, and avoid overtightening fasteners to reduce stress risers in the gearbox.
