This aftermarket motor pinion is produced for the Kyosho Mini Inferno chassis and supplied in the DMIF012T fitment. The 12-tooth Delrin motor gear is sized for 1/10 scale electric drivetrains and functions as the motor pinion that engages the spur gear to set the final drive ratio.
Acetal Delrin gives low friction and a quieter mesh compared with many metal pinions, which helps cut drivetrain buzz during normal running. The 12T choice lowers the gear ratio relative to larger pinions, shifting the balance toward stronger initial acceleration and a reduced peak speed, useful when tuning for short-track punch.
Fitting is straightforward on standard Mini Inferno motor mounts: remove the motor, swap the pinion onto the motor shaft, set mesh against the spur, and tighten the set screw. Confirm correct rotation and clearance and bench-test at low throttle before full-power runs to avoid premature wear on the pinion or spur.
