KE21V Turbo Glow Plug Overview

This Kyosho 70907 Turbo Glow Plug is designed as a single-element ignition part for the KE21V engine family. It functions as the glow filament for nitro RC engines and is intended to seat correctly in KE21V-compatible heads.

Fitting is simple for those familiar with small nitro engines: remove the head access, start the plug by hand to avoid cross-threading, then finish with the correct glow-plug wrench. Apply moderate torque suitable for small engine threads to secure the plug without over-tightening.

From a tuning perspective the glow plug influences ignition at idle and part-throttle, so inspect and swap plugs if you notice rough idle, inconsistent running, or hard starting. Regularly check the filament and seating to keep combustion behavior consistent during setup and running sessions.

As a spare ignition component, this Turbo Glow Plug serves as a direct replacement for KE21V engine maintenance and tuning tasks for hobby use only.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The plug is specified for KE21V heads; confirm thread pitch and seat type on other engines before substituting to avoid fit issues.
Start threading by hand to prevent cross-threading, then use a glow-plug wrench for the final snug fit. Do not exceed light, controlled torque on small engine threads.
Glow plugs play a role in combustion temperature; a worn or incorrect plug can cause unstable idle and altered throttle response, so test different plugs when tuning.
Replace the plug if the filament shows wear, ignition becomes inconsistent, or after extended running as part of routine engine care.
