The Kyosho 74035-08 recoil starter assembly is a direct replacement unit designed specifically for the KE21V glow engine. It replaces worn or damaged starters to restore consistent pull-start operation without modifying the engine or crankcase components.

Compatibility is limited to the KE21V engine platform. The unit relies on a pawl-and-spring design with polymer engagement surfaces and a return spring; these convert a manual pull into crank rotation and then reset for the next start. During installation, align the starter hub with the engine crankshaft flange and secure using the original fasteners, following the torque settings in the engine manual.
