The H-21 Shawnee, commonly called the "Flying Banana" because of its upward-curved fuselage, became a recognizable rotorcraft in the early 1950s. Built with twin tandem rotors, it served the U.S. Army in transport roles and later proved its utility moving troops and supplies during the Vietnam conflict.
This Italeri kit reproduces the H-21C gunship configuration, including the nose cannon options used for ground support missions. The package features new moulded parts, a super decal sheet covering five historical variants, photo-etched detail pieces, and full color instruction sheets to guide assembly.
