Upgrade Handling and Drive Feel with HUDY 14T Pinion

The HUDY 294214 pinion gear is a tough, accurately machined hard steel part built to last in demanding RC setups. Its 14-tooth layout and MODUL 0.8 sizing help ensure efficient power transfer for hobbyists focused on consistent on track performance.

Benefits of Using Hard Steel Pinions

Hard steel versions like this HUDY pinion resist deformation and wear better than softer materials, so they hold gear mesh and timing longer. That longevity reduces the need for frequent replacement and helps maintain reliable drivetrain behaviour under heavy loads.

Race-Proven Balance of Torque and Speed

The 14T profile offers a measured compromise between acceleration and top end, giving stable throttle response through corners and on straights. When paired with matching spur gears and correct pinion mesh, it supports predictable handling during competitive runs.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check that your gearbox uses MODUL 0.8 gears and that a 14T pinion clears the motor can and mount. Many 1/10 electric kits accept MODUL 0.8 pinions, but confirm spacing before purchase.
Use a shim or marking technique to achieve a small tooth contact patch without binding. Recheck under load and after a few runs, then tighten motor mount bolts to maintain the mesh.
A light gear grease designed for steel-on-steel contact can reduce noise and wear. Avoid heavy pastes that attract dust or fling off at high RPMs.
