The HUDY 107873 Bumper & Body Space Sponge Set gives touring car hobbyists a straightforward way to control body clearance and airflow. The kit contains self-adhesive foam strips in three thicknesses - 1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 5.0mm - each measuring 13x155mm. These strips sit between the shell and bumper to reduce deformation and stop the bodywork from scraping the track surface.

Effect on Speed and Stability

Adding foam to the body-to-bumper gap keeps the shell from flexing at high speed, which reduces unwanted contact with the ground and lowers aerodynamic drag. That improved stability can help maintain higher straight-line pace on fast sections.

Simple Fit Procedure

Measure the gap and pick the matching thickness, peel the adhesive backing and press the strip into place. The self-adhesive finish lets you fine-tune placement without special tools and allows quick swaps between sessions.
