This alloy fuel tank protector is a compact RC-scale accessory designed for HPI Savage nitro off-road models. Made from aluminium alloy with a purple finish, the part mounts around the fuel tank area to reduce direct impacts from brush and debris while preserving access for routine service.
Fitment is specific to the Savage series from HPI, check chassis layout and tank mounting points before installation. The protector is intended as an external guard and does not alter fuel system components or internal tank geometry.
Installation requires basic disassembly near the fuel tank mounting points and standard fasteners; use the original mounting holes where available to avoid modifying the chassis. After fitting, verify clearances with the exhaust, servo linkages, and body posts to prevent interference under suspension travel.
Use this protector where chassis-side clearance allows, and retain original mounting hardware when possible to maintain serviceability and alignment of fuel lines and nearby components.
