Alloy clutch shoe for HPI Savage platforms

This alloy clutch shoe is a direct replacement designed to fit HPI Savage and Savage X clutch assemblies. It installs in the same location as the original shoe and replaces worn or damaged parts on 1/8 scale nitro buggies.

Installation requires basic clutch disassembly, inspection of the clutch bell and springs, and correct seating of the shoe on its pivot. Check the fit visually before final reassembly, ensure the shoe rotates freely on its pivot, and avoid over-tightening retaining hardware to prevent binding.

During clutch tuning, shoe material affects engagement feel and heat transfer. Swapping to an alloy shoe will change wear patterns and thermal behaviour compared with composite shoes, so match it with appropriate clutch springs and carry out controlled test runs while checking for uneven wear or excess heat between sessions.
