Alloy upper arm for Savage-series tuning

This alloy adjustable upper arm is an aftermarket replacement for Savage-series trucks, designed to replace the factory plastic arms and provide a stiffer mounting point for steering and suspension linkages.

The arm is made from aluminium with an integrated steel tie rod section at the steering link attachment to reduce flex compared with stock parts. The adjustable length lets you fine tune camber and track settings without relocating shocks or altering the chassis.

Fitting follows the usual Savage upper arm routine: remove the wheel, unbolt the original arm from the hub and shock tower, transfer any bearings or hardware if needed, install the alloy arm and secure with the supplied fasteners, then set tie rod length for correct steering alignment. This part is aimed at refining steering feel and consistent suspension behaviour on off-road layouts.

Compatible Models

  • HPI Savage
  • Savage X
  • Savage XL
  • Savage Fluorescent x
  • Savage K4.6 Engine

Choose this adjustable alloy upper arm when you need firmer steering geometry and reduced arm flex, and double-check hub and tower hole centres to confirm fit before final assembly.

Yes, it is made to use the same mounting points as Savage-series plastic arms, but confirm bearing and spacer positions match your chassis before tightening.
Use medium-strength thread locker on metal-to-metal joints and check that supplied screws are the correct length for your hubs and towers.
Yes, the adjustable geometry lets you alter camber and track incrementally to suit terrain or driving style without moving shock mounts.
Inspect fastener torque and linkage play regularly, check tie rod ends for wear, and re-check steering alignment after impacts or adjustments.
