A purpose-built RC engine heatsink made to suit HPI Savage 25 chassis installations. The 13-fin configuration expands exposed surface area to help disperse heat from nitro engine heads while remaining a scale-friendly accessory.
Functionally the heatsink adds thermal mass and extra fin area, which changes warm-up characteristics and reduces rapid peak temperature spikes under sustained load. That behaviour can aid fine tuning of needle settings and assessing airflow from the body and intake openings.
Installation is straightforward for experienced model technicians: remove the stock cooling head, check head-stack clearance and carburettor alignment, then seat the heatsink on the engine head. Inspect for interference with the exhaust and adjacent parts, then secure and verify fit before running. Start at low RPM to confirm clearances after fitting.
Fitment notes: the 13-fin geometry is sized for Savage 25 series cooling heads, so confirm diameter and fin spacing before purchase. This part is intended for nitro RC engines and model use only.
