This aluminium fuel tank protection case is a scale-style accessory made to fit the HPI Savage family of nitro buggies and trucks. It wraps the tank to reduce damage from rollovers, rock strikes and chassis contact during aggressive off-road use, protecting the plastic tank body and mounting points without altering fuel plumbing or tank capacity.
Fitment is limited to the Savage variants shown below and the part is supplied as a single structural cover that mounts with the existing tank screws and chassis attachment points. Installation normally requires removing the body shell and refitting the original hex screws; no extra brackets are required.
From a setup point of view, treat the case as added protection rather than a tuning change. It improves impact resistance while adding minimal external mass and does not alter suspension geometry or fuel flow for typical RC tuning.
Use this removable case when you need durable shielding for the fuel tank during heavy bashing or race practice; verify clearances and torque the original fasteners once fitted.
