Fin-style heatsink for Savage engines

This fin-style engine heatsink is a bolt-on accessory that fits HPI Savage 21, Savage 25 and Savage X 13 models sharing the same head profile. The gold anodised fins increase exposed surface area around the engine head to aid heat dispersion while bashing, without changing internal engine geometry.

Compatibility is limited to the listed Savage variants that use the same engine-head shape. Check head contours and body shell clearances around the exhaust and carburettor before fitting; physical interference is the most common issue with head-mounted cooling parts. The heatsink installs using the engine head's existing fastener points as an external cooling aid for nitro powerplants.

Installation notes: place the heatsink onto the head, orient the fins for airflow, and reuse the head screws or studs where appropriate. Confirm there is no contact with the muffler or bodywork through full suspension travel, and verify glow plug access after fitment. After initial runs, recheck fastener torque and clearances as thermal cycling can alter seating.

Tuning and operational role: the heatsink offers passive cooling only and does not modify timing, porting, or fuel needs. Use a temperature probe or trackside observations to gauge effect and adjust body venting or muffler routing as part of overall thermal management. Expect modest temperature moderation rather than dramatic changes.

It is designed for HPI Savage 21, Savage 25 and Savage X 13 heads that share the same profile. Confirm the head shape and available clearance before buying.
No permanent modification should be needed; the heatsink uses existing head fasteners. Avoid forcing the part into position to prevent thread damage.
The unit provides passive cooling only and does not alter internal timing or porting. Monitor temperatures and adjust airflow or fuel trim if required.
Re-torque head screws, verify there is no contact with the muffler or bodywork during travel, and confirm glow plug access remains clear after thermal cycles.
