These SAV13170/BE replacement plastic ball ends include the mating ball and are designed for HPI Savage 21 dampers and related suspension linkages. Supplied as a single pair, they are intended for quick swap-out when original shock ball joints wear or break.
The part performs the basic ball-and-socket connection between the damper and linkage points. Installation is straightforward for users familiar with Savage shock assemblies: remove the damaged eye or linkage, seat the ball in the socket, then refit the damper hardware using the existing fasteners. Only common hobby tools are required.
From a service viewpoint, these plastic ball ends act as an economical spare for routine repairs and roadside fixes. They do not alter internal damping, but they restore articulation and remove play caused by worn joints. Carrying a spare pair is recommended for frequent Savage-series use.
