Overview of the rear arm for HPI Bullet

This rear suspension arm is an alloy replacement intended for HPI Bullet series models, supplied as a black rear arm option for the rear suspension assembly. It is provided for fitment on compatible Bullet 3.0 MT and ST platforms running nitro powertrains.

As a chassis-level replacement the component restores rear geometry and brings the stiffer, longer wearing characteristics of an alloy part compared with common stock materials. Fitment is expected to be a like-for-like swap at the rear mounts; technicians should check hinge pin alignment and linkage clearances during installation. Typical steps include removing the wheel and bodywork if required, separating the arm from hub and chassis brackets, transferring bearings and hardware, and reassembling while confirming full travel and no binding.

Tuning note: swapping to an alloy rear arm alters rear-end feel and can influence responsiveness and consistency under load. Use the part as a measured change when you adjust spring rates, shock positions, or toe and camber to observe handling differences on your chosen surface.

Remove the body and wheel for clear access, support the chassis so the suspension is unloaded, then unbolt the arm from the hub and chassis mounts. Keep fasteners and bearings labelled for reassembly.
In most cases the arm uses existing hinge pins and hardware from the stock unit. Inspect and reuse compatible bearings and pins, or transfer them from the original arm during installation.
Check that hinge pins are parallel, bushings or bearings are seated fully, and that travel is verified before final torque. Recheck clearances with the wheel mounted and suspension cycled.
