This 18-tooth steel pinion is a direct-fit replacement for HPI Baja models and is supplied as a single piece. The gear has a 5mm bore and a regraded tooth profile to pair with the stock spur gear or the SBJ057T option without changing the existing gearbox layout.

Fit this pinion when you need a simple drivetrain swap or when adjusting final drive ratios to refine traction and acceleration. Steel construction provides improved wear resistance for regular off-road use and keeps gear mesh consistent.

Installation notes: slide the pinion fully onto the motor shaft so the bore seats, set the mesh to the manufacturer's recommended clearance, and tighten the set screw securely while avoiding excessive torque that might damage the motor shaft or gear teeth. Re-check mesh after a short run and re-torque if needed.
