This aluminium differential bearing holder replaces the stock part on Hot Bodies Cyclone Sport and Racing models. It secures the diff bearings more rigidly than some polymer options, helping keep bearing alignment stable when the car is under load during track use or practice sessions.
By using an aluminium seat you can reduce side-to-side play in the differential assembly compared with softer holders. That tighter seating can make diff behaviour more repeatable when you adjust gear ratios or switch oil weights during setup work.
Fitting the holder is standard differential service: remove the diff from the gearbox, press or pull the bearings free, remove the original holder, fit bearings into the new aluminium holder ensuring they are fully seated, then rebuild the diff. Basic RC tools such as hex drivers and small hand tools are all you need for the swap. After reassembly, check bearing preload and diff freeplay and ensure the drivetrain spins freely without binding.
Use the holder as a tuning-aware component that affects bearing alignment and diff feel rather than expecting huge speed gains. Regular checks of bearing fit and fastener torque will keep the diff performing consistently across running sessions.
