This kit represents the 1991 Honda XLR250R MD22 at 1/12 scale, presented in a motard custom setup and placed within Hasegawa's 1/12 motorcycle series.
The Honda XLR250R (MD22) is a light dual-sport machine known for balancing road and off-road use. Built around a compact single-cylinder four-stroke layout, the real bike served as a user-friendly trail and commuter option. Its chassis geometry and upright ergonomics made it a common candidate for motard-style conversions that trade off-road wheels for road-oriented wheels and brakes.
The kit captures the XLR250R external silhouette with focus on frame lines and motard bodywork. Components are provided as injection-style plastic parts for the builder to assemble and finish. Surface detail highlights visible features such as frame members, fuel tank profile, seat contours, and simplified suspension and exhaust shapes suitable for painting and light weathering. The release targets display and custom motard appearance rather than deep mechanical interior detail.
A compact 1/12 subject focused on motard styling and silhouette, ideal for shelf display or small dioramas where visual presence matters most.
