This kit reproduces the Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J in the special 201SQ 40th Anniversary livery at 1/72 scale, presented as an external-detail assembly for model builders and collectors.
The F-15J is Japan's license-built variant of the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, adopted by the JASDF as an air superiority fighter. Operated to meet JASDF requirements, the type has primarily fulfilled air defence duties, and squadrons sometimes apply commemorative markings to celebrate unit milestones.
The kit is delivered as conventional injection-moulded plastic parts that require trimming, gluing, filling where needed, and painting. The box and instructions specify the 201SQ anniversary decal placement and any alternate marking options supplied by the manufacturer.
At 1/72 scale, attention centres on panel lines, empennage and control surface alignment, and accurate landing gear fit. Experienced builders may choose aftermarket corrections or replacement parts to refine fit or detail, but these are optional and not implied by the name alone.
A faithful external-scale representation intended for hobbyists and collectors who want to assemble and finish a 1/72 JASDF F-15J in the 201SQ 40th Anniversary scheme.
