1/12 GT500 soft belted radial tire

This Yokomo YOKGT-39AS tire is a 1/12-scale belted radial rubber tire supplied as a soft compound option for the GT500 on-road platform. The belted radial build keeps tread shape under cornering loads while the softer rubber raises mechanical grip on typical indoor and smooth outdoor track surfaces.

Fitment centers on GT500 1/12 on-road wheel assemblies; the tire is sized for standard 1/12 rims used in competitive touring and GT classes. Always verify rim profile and inner diameter before mounting to ensure correct bead seating.

Experienced modelers will find installation straightforward: mount the tire on the rim, secure it with standard tire glue suitable for foam-backed or plain rims, and balance it to reduce high-speed vibration. Because the soft compound increases front-end bite and mid-corner grip, expect to fine-tune suspension, camber, and toe to maintain neutral steering.

Use this tire when extra mechanical traction is required for better corner exit or when track temperatures favor softer rubber, keeping in mind the trade-off of faster wear versus harder compounds.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are specified for GT500 1/12 on-road use but will fit other 1/12 rims that match the internal profile; check rim dimensions and bead compatibility before fitting.
Apply a thin, even bead of standard tyre glue around the rim bead seat, allow proper tack time, then spin-balance the assembly on a tire balancer to remove any heavy spots.
Expect increased mechanical grip leading to stronger turn-in and improved corner traction, but plan for quicker wear and possible adjustments to suspension settings to keep handling balanced.
