This steering tie rod set is an aftermarket aluminium linkage made for the TAMIYA TT02 RC chassis, supplied as a single-set upgrade. It is intended for RC-scale tuning and replacement when a stiffer steering link is preferred over the stock plastic part.
As a steering assembly component, the tie rod influences toe settings and steering consistency. Replacing the plastic link with an alloy unit reduces flex under load and gives a firmer, more predictable steering feel while testing different setups.
Installation requires matching the existing ball studs and thread pitch on the TT-02 steering assembly and servo saver. Basic installation needs standard hex drivers and pliers; it does not require changes to servo or electronics. After fitting, check ball cups and tie rod ends for correct seating and free articulation.
Tuning tip: use the alloy rod to stabilise toe angles during suspension or drivetrain trials, and inspect for binding at full lock. Regular checks and light lubrication at pivot points will help keep motion smooth without altering steering geometry.
