This 8-piece damper kit is an aftermarket hop-up for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER chassis, supplying matched front and rear L-shape piggy back units to improve suspension control on rough terrain. The set is aimed at hobbyists who want a durable, serviceable shock assembly for tuning and extended off-road runs while avoiding any suggestion of full-size vehicle use.

The dampers are CNC machined from aluminum 6061 T6 with sealed bodies to reduce oil leakage risk. A higher concentration suspension oil is used to deliver firmer damping response, and the piggy back reservoir extends oil travel to smooth damping through long strokes. Mechanical differences from common stock include thicker 5mm damper shafts and coil springs wound with 2.0mm wire for a firmer spring rate, while the original springs can still be fitted if a softer setup is required.

The kit includes front and rear spring dampers plus matching internal damper cartridges, providing both external spring assemblies and internal damper units so front and rear corners can be rebuilt as a matched pair. These parts are intended for scale RC suspension tuning, installation on model chassis, and periodic maintenance when oil or seals need replacement.
