20T hardened pinion made for MAXX performance

This motor pinion is engineered for the TRAXXAS MAXX Monster Truck platform and functions as the motor-to-spur drive gear that transfers rotation from the motor into the drivetrain. It is manufactured in hardened steel #45 to increase wear resistance versus softer stock pinions.

The pinion is intended for routine servicing, replacement after wear, or small gearing changes during setup and tuning. Fit the gear to the motor shaft, secure the included set screw, then check mesh and endplay before running the model.

Packing includes

  • Motor Gear - 1pcs
  • 4x4 Set Screw - 1pcs

Original Name / Part No:

6494X

This item is compatible with

  • TRAXXAS-1/10 MAXX MONSTER TRUCK-89076-4
Confirm your motor shaft diameter and spline count before installation; the pinion is sized for common TRAXXAS MAXX motor shafts but fitment can vary by motor.
Hardened steel #45 provides higher wear resistance for longer service life under load compared to standard softer alloys used in some stock pinions.
Slide the gear fully onto the shaft, align the mesh with the spur gear, tighten the set screw, then re-check mesh after a short run to avoid premature wear.
