This tie rod and drag link set replaces the factory plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for scale RC use only. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the components reduce flex in the steering linkage and give a firmer connection between steering knuckles and the servo output. The compact, lightweight parts are designed to fit within the tight space of 1/30 rock crawlers while delivering better wear life for frequent trail use.
The kit concentrates on steering stability and easy service: threaded rod ends accept the supplied pivot balls for straightforward adjustment of toe and steering travel. After installation, verify alignment and servo centring to maintain neutral steering geometry.
Before fitting, compare the included pivot balls and screws with the stock items to confirm compatibility. Check thread engagement carefully to avoid stripping the small-scale threads; tighten to a firm feel without over-torquing. Once fitted, re-check steering endplay and servo centring, trimming rod ends if needed to eliminate binding.
Inspect connection points regularly for thread wear and any pivot-ball play. Apply a light lubricant to pivot balls to reduce metal-on-metal noise but avoid heavy greases that attract grit. If steering slop appears, confirm thread length and swap worn pivot balls or micro screws using common hobby spares.
