This RC-scale Delrin main gear is an aftermarket replacement made for Kyosho motorcycle models. Supplied as a single item, the gear fits into the drivetrain where the main gear interfaces with the pinion and spur to deliver motor torque. The Delrin construction reduces friction and offers good wear behaviour for the common plastic-to-plastic gear meshes used in electric motorcycle kits.
Installation is straightforward for hobbyists familiar with small motorcycle gear trains: remove the gearbox cover, withdraw the worn main gear, and install the replacement using the original fasteners and bearings. When refitting, inspect axial play and set an appropriate gear mesh to prevent excess backlash or binding; a small visual clearance is normal with Delrin-to-Delrin engagement.
Tuning tips: Delrin teeth often run quieter than harder materials but should be checked regularly if you run high rpm or aggressive gear ratios. Apply a light, plastic-safe grease sparingly at the gear face only if needed, and confirm pinion alignment and bearing condition to keep mesh consistent.
