SMT10 Shock Mount Upgrade

This aluminium adjustable shock mount is an aftermarket RC-scale component made for AXIAL SMT10 builds and sold under the part number MJ028. Supplied as a 1pr set, it replaces the stock front and rear mounting points to add extra positions for shock bodies and balls while keeping the original shock units.

Use these mounts to change shock angle and leverage during suspension setup; switching locations alters effective damping and roll behaviour and helps tune the balance between traction and responsiveness. The aluminium construction gives a firmer mounting than plastic originals and maintains alignment under heavy loads.

Installation is direct on most SMT10 layouts that share the same mounting pattern and normally uses your vehicle's existing hardware. After fitting, confirm ball ends and shock shafts move freely through full travel and re-check fasteners before running.

Do these fit the SMT10 stock holes?

They are designed for SMT10-style mounting patterns and should match stock holes on compatible layouts, but always trial-fit to your chassis before final assembly.

Is the set both front and rear?

Yes, the 1pr set covers matched front and rear mounts so you get uniform mounting positions for both ends of the vehicle.

Any checks after installation?

Check for binding through the full suspension travel, ensure ball ends are secure, and torque or thread-lock fasteners as required before your first run.
