This GPM belt drive assembly is an aftermarket gearbox replacement built for use with Axial platforms. The kit combines 6061-T6 aluminum parts with a rubber belt and friction elements to cut vibration and lower gearbox noise versus all-metal gear trains, giving a smoother, quieter drivetrain for trail and rock crawling use.
Keep in mind the belt system transmits lower peak torque than a direct metal gear mesh, so very high power setups may see reduced load capacity compared with a full gear drive. Before fitting, confirm your motor shaft inner diameter measures 3.175 and note the large gear follows common RC splines rather than a unique model spline.
Installation overview: reinstall the original gearbox metal plate, set the chosen friction disc into the matching pulley groove, seat the bearing centrally and replace the metal plate, anti-skid spring and nut. Align the two pulley gears close enough to accept the belt, then adjust spacing to achieve correct tension. Double-check set screws are secure and that the belt tracks true without side loading.
