This two-piece adjustable main drive shaft set fits the GMADE R1 Rock Buggy and pairs 6061-T6 aluminium shaft bodies with steel hardware to balance durability and reduced rotating mass for scale drivetrains.
The aluminium sections lower rotating inertia compared with all-steel designs, helping to reduce current draw in electric setups while maintaining driveline alignment. Steel wire rings lock the retaining screws to prevent lost fasteners during rough running.
Both shafts include built-in length adjustment for chassis spacing: the front shaft adjusts from 122mm to 132mm and the rear from 105mm to 115mm. Seals and the listed screws are included so the shafts can be installed without sourcing extra small parts.
During installation ensure the wire rings and M4 screws are seated and torqued to remove axial play, then recheck driveline alignment to avoid binding at the transmission output or axle cups.
Use this shaft set where slightly lighter rotating mass and adjustable driveline length are desired, and inspect fasteners regularly to ensure secure operation.
