Metal CVD shaft upgrade for GF01 and TL01

This CVD shaft pair is an aftermarket replacement for Tamiya GF01 platforms and TL01 conversion builds. The two shafts fit as front and rear half-shafts when the axle layout uses 38mm centre-to-centre lengths, letting you swap out worn hollow or plastic driveline parts for metal components.

The parts use aluminium for mounting interfaces and hardened steel for the driven surfaces, aimed at increasing driveline service life rather than changing suspension geometry or ride characteristics. Basic removal of hub carriers and common half-shaft retainers is required for fitment.

Installation notes: confirm overall stroke and outboard cup clearance prior to final assembly, check hexes and pins for wear, and ensure the set meets the 38mm centre-to-centre requirement for your axle layout. Use thread locker on mating fasteners where the original design specifies it, and verify there is no binding through full suspension travel.

Compatible Models

  • GF01
  • TL01

Select this set to replace aged plastic half-shafts or for routine maintenance when you prefer metal front and rear CVD shafts while keeping the vehicle within intended 1/10 scale driveline geometry.

They are made to fit GF01 and TL01 layouts that use 38mm centre-to-centre half-shafts, but always verify hub spacing and retention hardware before committing to the swap.
Inspect cups and pins for wear, apply light grease to splines if needed, and retorque retaining screws after a short break-in run to confirm secure fitment.
No geometry change is intended; they replace existing shafts with metal equivalents and should not change suspension kinematics when installed correctly.
Standard hand tools for removing wheel hubs, hex drivers for retention screws, and a suitable thread locker for fasteners where specified by your chassis setup.
Some TL01 conversions require matching hub spacing or adapters; confirm the 38mm measurement and clearance before final assembly to avoid interference.
