This is a 1/700 scale full-hull plastic model kit representing the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Zuiho as configured in 1944, issued within Fujimi's full hull ship series.
Zuiho was a small carrier converted from earlier hull types into a light carrier, operating with a reduced air group in convoy escort and fleet support roles. By 1944 she had received wartime changes to armament and flight-deck arrangement that reflected evolving carrier operations in the Pacific.
The kit reproduces the external hull lines and flight-deck layout for the stated year. Photo-etched parts are included to improve deck fittings and railings, and the full-hull format supports both stand display and diorama use. Moulding captures fine surface detail on the deck and hull plating to match photographic references. Builders should plan separate painting and weathering to achieve an authentic 1944 finish.
A full-hull Zuiho kit with photo-etched enhancements, suited to modelers who prioritise historical accuracy and high-quality display results.
