This injection-molded 1/700 plastic assembly kit depicts the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Zuiho in her 1944 configuration, released under Fujimi's Sea Way Model series.
Zuiho served as a light aircraft carrier in the Imperial Japanese Navy, operating in fleet support and convoy escort roles during the Pacific conflict. The ship underwent wartime modifications to flight deck and hangar arrangements, and by 1944 she continued in active service on escort and carrier support duties.
The kit concentrates on external hull lines, flight deck profile and superstructure shapes for a single wartime appearance. Panel and deck details are modelled for scale accuracy, making this kit best suited for builders aiming for a faithful external presentation rather than internal structural display. Fit and alignment guidance, painting notes and decal placement are provided in the instruction sheet included with the kit.
A compact 1/700 representation of a 1944-era IJN carrier, intended for display builds that emphasise accurate external proportions and deck arrangement.
