High-Nose Formula Body Compatible with YRF 001 Series

This 1/10-scale on-road body shell is shaped for YRF 001 Series chassis layouts, featuring a high-nose profile that alters how air meets the leading edge versus standard formula bodies. It is an aftermarket RC body intended for chassis-specific fit and aerodynamic testing rather than a universal shell.

Installation follows standard polycarbonate body practices: align to chassis posts, mark and punch or drill holes to match the pattern, and carefully trim inner wheel arches and suspension clearance in small increments. Preserve material around post mounts and the headrest zone to ensure consistent fitment.

On the setup side, the high-nose geometry moves leading-edge airflow and can change front aerodynamic load, which may influence turn-in and mid-corner balance on 1/10 on-road cars. Balance the change using body mounting height, ride height, and front wing adjustments after fitting this shell.

Specifications

  • Item: 1/10 on-road formula high-nose body shell
  • Model Number: YOKYF01HN
  • Compatibility: YRF 001 Series

For builders exploring chassis-level aerodynamic changes, this high-nose shell offers an alternative geometry to evaluate front-end behavior on YRF 001 Series setups; test-fit and gradual trimming are recommended before final finishing and track use.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Place the Yokomo YOKYF01HN body over your YRF 001 Series chassis and check alignment with the mounting posts. Mark holes with a fine-tip marker and remove material little by little to avoid overcutting.
Start with wheel arches then open suspension clearance. Test-fit after each cut and keep structural areas near post mounts intact until final shaping.
Typical tools are sufficient: a punch or small drill for holes, sharp scissors or a lexan cutter, masking tape for marking, and fine sandpaper for smoothing edges.
Mask mounting areas and trimmed edges, use polycarbonate paints in thin layers, and conduct a final fit check before applying full coats.
