48-Pitch 19T Pinion Gear Details

The Yokomo YOKPG4819 is an RC-scale pinion gear engineered for 48-pitch drivetrains. The 19-tooth profile allows builders to adjust overall gear ratio in small, predictable increments when matched with a 48-pitch spur gear.

In operation, this part alters the balance between acceleration and top speed without changing motor or ESC settings. Proper fitment requires a motor shaft and a spur gear that follow the 48-pitch standard so tooth mesh and backlash can be set correctly.

Installation notes: slide the pinion onto the motor shaft, align the tooth mesh with the spur gear, and verify smooth rotation across full suspension travel or drivetrain articulation. Recheck mesh under load and after a few runs, retighten mounting hardware as needed and inspect the teeth for wear.

Maintenance tips: keep mating gears free of grit, inspect for chipped or worn teeth before each session, and replace the pinion if wear alters mesh. This component is intended for 1/10 electric RC cars and should be used with compatible 48-pitch parts.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A 19-tooth pinion reduces the final drive compared with larger tooth counts, typically improving acceleration while lowering theoretical top speed when used with the same spur gear.
The hardened finish helps the gear resist tooth wear under normal running conditions; however, correct mesh and cleanliness are equally important to prolong life.
After a session, inspect teeth for chips, confirm the set screw and mounting hardware remain tight, and verify mesh has not loosened from vibration.
