This replacement pinion is made for EMBLA EB helicopter models. The HI0304169 is a 14-tooth motor pinion intended to restore correct mesh or to adjust the interface between the motor and spur gear in EMBLA EB drivetrains.
Fit this part when renewing a worn pinion or when changing the gear ratio for tuning purposes. As the direct mating gear on the motor shaft, it influences gear mesh, backlash, and the general feel of the drivetrain.
Installation notes: remove the motor as needed to access the shaft, confirm shaft diameter and set screw alignment, then position the pinion axially to achieve the correct mesh with the spur gear. Verify mesh at slow rotation before flying and re-tighten the set screw after a short test run.
Tuning role: switching to a 14T pinion changes the effective gear ratio and can be used to fine-tune head speed and tail/rotor response when combined with other drivetrain adjustments. Always check gearbox clearance and ensure bearings and the spur gear are in good condition to prevent premature wear.
