Raised-neck kingpin to prevent camber rub

This Yokomo IB-414KB1A kingpin ball is an RC accessory tailored for A-arms like DRB and DIB that benefit from a slightly elevated ball neck to correct geometry or avoid contact at steep camber. The neck is 1mm taller than standard, giving a subtle but effective change in arm angle without replacing the arm.

The threaded section uses the 3mm ISO specification and mates with aluminum steering blocks designed for that thread. Fit these when the stock ball base touches the arm under extreme camber or when you need to tweak upper or lower arm angles to improve steering response and tyre contact.

Installation is simple: remove the original ball, thread the IB-414KB1A into the steering block or ball mount, then cycle the suspension to confirm full travel clearance. Check for any binding at the ball base and evaluate roll center and camber behavior on a test run before final torque.

Will this plug straight into my DP-YD2 steering block?

The IB-414KB1A uses a 3mm ISO thread and the 11mm hex socket; it fits steering blocks that accept that thread form. Always verify your steering block thread and internal depth before installation.

Why choose the 1mm taller neck version?

The extra millimetre lifts the ball center to shift the A-arm angle slightly, which clears interference at high camber and can improve the tyre contact patch without changing arm geometry.

How many come in the pack and what thread is used?
