Lower bell crank support overview

This RC-scale lower base mounts beneath the steering bell crank post used on the Drift Package DPM, providing a rigid seating for the bell crank assembly. The part is machined from aluminum to give a stable platform that resists flex under steering loads, and it serves purely as a chassis-mounted support component for the steering post.

Installation is straightforward on compatible DP-series drift chassis: the lower support aligns to the bell crank post location and fastens to the chassis mounting points. Because it functions as a structural seat for the bell crank, its role in setup and tuning is focused — it affects steering stiffness and repeatability rather than changing geometry; pairing it with correct linkage and bell crank components keeps steering response predictable.

Compatibility:

  • DP-DPMS
  • DP-DPRA
  • DP-DPRH
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Position the SD-202ML under the bell crank post, align the chassis screw holes, and secure with the original mounting screws. Tighten progressively to ensure the base seats flat against the chassis.
In most cases the original hardware from the DP-DPM setup is sufficient. If your chassis uses different thicknesses, thin spacers can be used to ensure proper clamping without distorting the base.
The support is intended to stiffen the seating and not alter geometry. It preserves the existing bell crank alignment while reducing unwanted movement under load.
