Graphite rear upper deck tuned for D-MAX rigs

The Yokomo SD-003DR is a single-piece graphite rear upper deck created for use with the D-MAX series of scale RC cars. As a direct replacement mounted to the rear bulkhead, it provides a stiffer rear section that directly affects chassis rigidity and the behavior of the rear suspension stack.

Fitting the SD-003DR is straightforward for those familiar with basic RC maintenance: remove the stock deck, line up the SD-003DR with the existing rear bulkhead mounting points, then reinstall the original screws. No special tools are required and the hole pattern is intended to match standard D-MAX layouts.

From a tuning perspective, swapping to graphite changes local stiffness at the rear, which will influence yaw response and mid-corner balance. Introduce the deck as part of stepwise setup changes: alter one element at a time and assess handling before adjusting shocks, anti-roll bars, or toe angles.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is made for the D-MAX series; check that your chassis uses the same rear bulkhead and mount spacing before fitting.
The deck normally reuses the existing rear bulkhead screws. Keep the original hardware and verify alignment before fully tightening.
Graphite raises local stiffness at the rear, which can make the car turn in more sharply and alter yaw. Make incremental setup changes to judge the effect.
