Secure battery posts for D-Max chassis

The SD-118DM kit is a set of RC battery mount posts made to work with the D-Max chassis. It swaps out the factory fasteners for aluminum posts and collars to give a firmer, more repeatable anchor point for pack placement while you dial in setup and handling.

Installation is simple: remove the original D-Max posts and insert the aluminum posts into the stock mounting positions, then secure using the supplied collars, O-rings and flat head screws. The O-rings reduce side-to-side play and the collar and screw pairs lock the post height and location.

From a tuning standpoint, the parts let you make measured shifts in battery position and height to influence balance and cornering without having to fabricate bespoke mounts. Intended for RC model use by hobbyists and teams who fine-tune battery placement as part of chassis setup.

Begin by removing the stock posts from the D-Max chassis, then insert the SD-118DM aluminum posts into the original mounting holes. Use the supplied collars, O-rings and screws to set the height and lock them in place.
Yes. The included 3mm O-rings act as a cushion to reduce lateral play around the post shaft while the collars and screws clamp the post vertically.
Basic hand tools such as a screwdriver and a hex driver for the supplied flat head screws are sufficient for fitting the posts and collars.
