D-Max battery positioning guide

The Yokomo SD-118DG is a compact battery guide designed for D-Max standard parts and on-road chassis. It secures the pack inside the bay and helps maintain a consistent mounting position between runs.

Built to match D-Max standard parts, the guide emphasises repeatable placement rather than shaving weight. A fixed guide makes battery swaps quicker and reduces the chance of unwanted movement that alters corner balance and traction.

Installation is straightforward on D-Max style bays: align the guide with the factory locating points, fasten using the existing bay screws or the chassis mounting holes, and confirm there is clearance for wiring and connectors. Small fore-aft adjustments while using the guide let you fine-tune handling without changing major components.

The SD-118DG works well when you need a stable battery location for setup comparisons, quick pit-side swaps, or to lock in a preferred balance point for track conditions. Use it as a tuning aid to complement suspension and motor adjustments rather than replace them.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The SD-118DG is made for D-Max standard parts layouts; check that your chassis uses the standard battery bay locating points before installing.
Most installs reuse the bay fasteners or the chassis mounting holes. Inspect the bay and retain original screws where possible; only add hardware if your chassis lacks compatible holes.
The guide itself does not change weight distribution greatly, but by locking a consistent battery position it makes the effect of small fore-aft shifts on balance and traction easier to evaluate.
