Installation and fit for YZ-2 steering

This aluminum center link is an RC-scale replacement part made for the YZ-2 2WD off-road platform. Finished in black anodized aluminum with a beveled edge, the component offers a firmer connection in the steering centre assembly compared with typical stock parts.

The link fits the listed YZ-2 variants and is intended as a direct swap for the original centre rod in the steering geometry. When fitted, it reduces flex at the centre pivot and helps deliver a more consistent steering feel across a variety of track surfaces.

To install, remove the stock centre link from the steering assembly and position this aluminum unit in the same location, taking care to maintain toe and roll-center settings during reassembly. After installation, check alignment and confirm the steering arms move freely to prevent binding.

Compatibility

  • B-YZ2
  • B-YZ2CA
  • B-YZ2DT
  • B-YZ2DTM
  • B-YZ2DTMW
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the original centre link from the steering assembly, fit the Z2-201CL in the same orientation, and reassemble while preserving previous toe and roll-center settings.
The part is designed to be a like-for-like swap; geometry should stay the same if you reinstall it in the original position and check adjustments after fitting.
Basic hobby tools are sufficient: pliers, small hex drivers and a setup stand for alignment checks. No specialised machining is required.
