Pendulum wheel weight and driveline upgrade for CC02 G500

This kit for the Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 combines pendulum-style wheel weights, wider 12.5mm hex adaptors and hardened driveline components made for scale crawling and trail driving. The parts increase unsprung mass at each wheel, broaden the track by roughly 12mm via the wider hexes, and replace selected front and rear driveline items with hardened steel to boost durability on slow-speed maneuvers.

The components are supplied as a grouped 20-piece parts kit meant for fitting to CC02 chassis vehicles to improve traction and stability when negotiating steep, rough or technical terrain. Installation focuses on wheel hub and driveline swap locations and matches standard CC02 wheel mounting geometry.

Fit the kit to add downward mass at the hubs, widen track for improved roll resistance, and swap in hardened front and rear driveline pieces for consistent, grippy crawling on CC02 rigs.

The kit includes four pendulum wheel weights, two front CVD joints, two rear drive shafts, four 12.5mm wider hexes, four stainless 2x10 pins and four 4.0 E-clips as listed in the specifications.
The 12.5mm hex adaptors extend wheel offset by about 12mm; confirm tyre and body clearance before final fitment and trim the inner fenders or body mounts if necessary.
The #45 hardened steel front CVDs are intended as direct replacements for stock CC02 front driveline parts but always verify pin and shaft dimensions against your existing hardware before installation.
The pendulum design concentrates mass lower on the hub and uses a bearing with a Delrin collar so the weight hangs downward, helping tyres keep contact over high articulation and uneven surfaces.
Adding unsprung mass can reduce steering responsiveness on flat, high-speed running but improves traction and stability at low crawling speeds; consider the trade off when choosing setups.
