This pendulum-style wheel knuckle axle weight is an aftermarket upgrade for Axial SCX10 style crawlers. The main mass is brass with an alloy lid and a set of removable stainless steel rolling beads, letting you tune downward force at each wheel to improve grip during slow rock crawling and recoveries on soft or uneven ground.
The pendulum places mass low and outboard at the knuckle so downward force stays more consistent as suspension moves. The rolling beads act as the internal bearings; each bead is about 4g and can be removed or added to change total wheel mass. Stainless construction is chosen to resist corrosion in wet and muddy running conditions.
Installation notes and fitment limits: these units mount on the outer face of front and rear knuckles, require wheels with a 45mm inner diameter and 5mm hub thread holes, and include a 21mm hex adapter to widen effective hex width for broader wheel setups. Per piece assembled weight is listed at approximately 66 to 86 grams when fitted with eight beads, and it is advisable to retain at least three beads for predictable behaviour.
Use this pendulum weight to add deliberate low-end traction and wheel stability on technical courses; check wheel inner diameter and hub thread specs before fitting, and adjust bead count to balance extra weight against increased rotational inertia for your setup.
