BMax4 Rear Spring Overview

This RC-scale rear suspension spring is specified for BMax4 rear shock assemblies. The orange soft coil delivers a reduced spring rate suited to setups that demand greater rear compliance, for example low-traction surfaces or fine-tuning weight transfer on 1/10 electric touring cars.

Compatibility and fitment focus on BMax4 rear shock housings and the standard spring retainers used on that platform. Installation follows standard shock service steps: remove the shock from the chassis, compress and remove the spring cap, swap the spring, then reinstall and confirm preload and ride height. Use common RC tools such as hex drivers and shock pliers to handle the spring safely.

Tuning notes: a softer rear spring reduces sprung stiffness at the rear axle and can increase mechanical grip, while also potentially increasing body roll and squat under acceleration. Balance spring choice with shock oil viscosity and piston selection, make incremental adjustments, and test on-track to assess handling changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The spring is specified for BMax4 rear shock assemblies. Use only if the spring length and end retainer type match the target shock; otherwise fitment may be incorrect.
A softer rear spring typically increases rear traction and compliance but can add body roll and affect mid-corner stability. Adjust damping to compensate and try changes progressively.
Compress the shock slowly when removing the spring cap, ensure the spring seats correctly on the retainer, and recheck preload and ride height after refitting to the chassis.
