Overview of the front steering hub carrier

The Yokomo YOKB2-413 front steering hub carrier is a direct-fit replacement made for the B-Max 2 chassis. It locates the front knuckle and links the steering linkage to the wheel assembly, so it has a direct influence on steering geometry and handling on the track.

Compatibility is confined to the B-Max 2 platform as indicated by the product title; do not assume fitment to other Yokomo models or third-party chassis without checking measurements. Use this carrier when restoring original steering behavior or when trying alternate front-end setups.

Installation is straight forward for anyone familiar with 1/10 scale touring car work: remove the front wheel and knuckle, swap the hub carrier while keeping bearing and spacer positions correct, then reassemble ensuring proper preload and steering linkage alignment. Reuse the original hardware if serviceable and verify full travel and absence of binding before running laps.

From a setup perspective the hub carrier affects scrub radius, steering response, and roll center relationships when combined with wheel offset and suspension settings. Treat this part as one tuning variable among wheel offset, suspension geometry, and steering link placement rather than a single cure for handling issues.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the front wheel and steering knuckle, note bearing and spacer locations, fit the new hub carrier, then reassemble with correct preload. Check steering linkage alignment and full range of motion before testing on track.
Most installs reuse the original bearings and hardware if they are in good condition. Replace worn bearings or damaged spacers as needed.
Verify full steering travel, ensure no binding through the suspension range, and confirm toe and steering trim are within your normal setup before running on track.
