This machined aluminium rear lower chassis link is made for the Axial Racing Yeti XL platform and carries model YTL014. It replaces the stock lower link on Yeti XL rock racers when a firmer metal link is needed to keep suspension geometry consistent under load.
As an RC-scale replacement, the link sits between the rear axle and the chassis lower mounts, affecting roll stiffness and axle articulation. Aluminium gives a more linear stiffness versus plastic, helping the axle stay aligned during steep climbs and aggressive cornering.
Fitting is straightforward for hobbyists familiar with typical rear link arrangements: remove the original lower link, transfer any required hardware or bushings, and secure the replacement to the same mounting points. No special tools beyond standard hex drivers and pliers are normally required, and it is good practice to check fastener torque and bearing condition after installation.
Use this link to restore or slightly increase rear lower stiffness on Yeti XL builds, and recheck hardware torque after the first run to ensure reliable performance.
