This is an RC-scale aluminum steering linkage designed for the Axial Yeti chassis, model YT-25005-BK. The part replaces standard plastic linkages to provide a firmer connection between the servo output and steering knuckles, helping keep geometry consistent under load during trail and rock racing use.
Installation is straightforward for those familiar with Yeti steering assemblies: remove the stock tie rods, transfer or replace the rod ends as required, and secure with the original hardware. Apply a small amount of threadlocker where metal-to-metal joints meet threaded posts, and verify neutral toe before final tightening. Recheck and retighten after the first run to account for any initial seating of components.
For setup and tuning, the aluminum linkage serves as a stable reference when adjusting toe and Ackermann. Because it reduces flex compared to plastic parts, expect changes in steering feel that may require minor servo endpoint or trim adjustments. Regular inspection of rod ends and linkage alignment is recommended to prevent uneven wear on steering components and to maintain predictable handling on technical courses.
