This steering assembly rod is designed for Axial Racing Yeti platforms and is supplied as part number GYT049. It matches the AX31122 reference and is offered as a single replacement rod when the original steering linkage needs renewal or a stiffer composite option is preferred.
As the steering linkage between the servo output and the steering knuckles, the rod controls alignment and movement at the front end. The graphite and aluminium combination aims to reduce flex while keeping weight down, delivering a consistent steering feel without changing other geometry parts.
Installation is straightforward for experienced hobbyists: remove the worn rod, check length and pivot orientation against the AX31122 reference, reuse any suitable hardware, and fit the replacement. Secure fasteners to recommended tightness and verify full-range, free movement of the steering link to ensure there is no binding with suspension travel or the servo.
For tuning, this rod can be used to increase steering stiffness and feedback. Replacing a flexible stock link with a graphite-and-aluminium unit reduces compliance in the linkage path and helps hold toe alignment under load, which benefits both track setups and hard off-road driving. Re-check servo endpoints and toe after swapping to maintain predictable handling.
Sold as 1 pcs, compatible with RC-scale Axial Racing Yeti models only.
