This SCX6016TS motor pinion is an RC-scale replacement designed for direct motor drive on compatible hobby motors. Made from hardened high carbon steel, the 16-tooth pinion transfers torque to the drivetrain while avoiding any suggestion of real vehicle fitment.

The gear has a 5mm centre bore and a 1mm tooth pitch to match motors and spur gears with the same pitch and shaft diameter. For best results set an accurate gear mesh, ensure the pinion sits concentric on the motor shaft, and secure it using the supplied screw shaft where applicable. Verify shaft fit and mesh before attempting full-power runs to protect both motor and gears.

Selection notes: check your motor shaft is 5mm and that your spur gear uses 1mm pitch; a hardened steel pinion is less likely to deform under heavy load compared with softer stock gears, which helps keep consistent mesh during crawling or rock work.
